Providing a Safe Environment for Children

Description:

This lesson discusses procedures for conducting safety checks of the child care facility. It discusses how to keep children safe from water hazards, toxic substances, and firearms. This lesson also addresses how to perform safety drills and how to teach children to keep themselves safe.

Objectives:

RECALL procedures for conducting safety checks of the child care facility.

RECALL how to protect children from water hazards, toxic substances, and firearms and other weapons.

RECALL how to conduct safety drills.

RECALL how to teach children to keep themselves safe.

A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
