This lesson discusses four key elements of outdoor play area safety: play area design, fall surfacing, maintenance and supervision.

Objectives:

RECALL considerations for safe play area design.

RECALL fall surfacing guidelines for outdoor play areas.

RECALL maintenance guidelines for outdoor play areas.

RECALL guidelines and techniques for supervising children in outdoor play areas.

A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
