Description:

This lesson addresses health hazards found in child care facilities and methods of preventing illness among children. It also discusses safety hazards, along with indoor and outdoor safety practices and proper equipment maintenance.

Objectives:

RECALL methods of preventing illness among children.

IDENTIFY safety hazards associated with indoor areas of a child care facility.

RECALL safety practices for indoor areas of a child care facility.

IDENTIFY safety hazards associated with outdoor areas of a child care facility.

RECALL safety practices for outdoor areas of a child care facility.

A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
