This lesson discusses guidelines for transporting students with special needs, including creating an evacuation plan and conducting evacuation drills. It also presents procedures for handling medical emergencies.

RECALL general guidelines for handling emergencies when transporting students with special needs.

RECALL medical emergencies that require immediate medical attention.

RECALL first aid procedures used to treat medical emergencies.

RECALL elements of an emergency evacuation plan.

IDENTIFY three strategies for evacuating a bus.

RECALL lifting techniques used to evacuate nonambulatory students.

A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
