Recognizing Levels of Social Play

Description:

This lesson discusses the importance of social play and provides information about planning and monitoring play. It also presents safety guidelines and activity suggestions for each level of social play.

Objectives:

RECALL the significance of social play in children’s development.

RECALL six levels of social play.

IDENTIFY activities that reflect appropriate development at each level of social play.

RECALL the child care provider’s role and responsibilities when monitoring children at play.

IDENTIFY activities that facilitate children’s social play development.

A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
