This lesson defines crime scene. It discusses the importance of preserving a crime scene and identifies possible means of its destruction and procedures for ensuring its security. It describes appropriate methods of documenting, collecting, and preserving evidence discovered at a crime scene. It also discusses the importance of continuous possession of evidence and procedures for ensuring evidence integrity.
