Methods of Controlling Traffic

Description:

This lesson describes traffic control signals used to start, stop, and turn traffic. It discusses concerns and procedures for directing traffic at intersections and identifies traffic control devices and their uses. It also discusses guidelines and procedures for reporting an accident and gathering pertinent accident information.

Objectives:

RECALL procedures for officers to stop, start, control, and direct traffic.

RECALL procedures for using devices to assist in directing traffic.

RECALL appropriate protection officer actions when a traffic accident occurs.

A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
