Description:
This course introduces students to commercial motor vehicles' instruments and controls. It discusses the function of primary and secondary vehicle controls including those required for steering, accelerating, shifting, and braking. This lesson also discusses vehicle safety components and how to properly use them.
Objectives:
RECALL the function and acceptable operating ranges of the engine controls, gauges, and warning devices.
RECALL the function of a commercial motor vehicle's primary controls.
RECALL the function of a commercial motor vehicle's secondary controls, including the vehicle's safety components.
