This lesson discusses children’s temperaments and how temperament affects behavior. It also addresses child care strategies for managing temperament and nurturing children’s unique personalities.

Objectives:

RECALL the definition of temperament.

RECALL the role temperament plays in early childhood.

IDENTIFY three categories of temperament.

IDENTIFY temperament traits of infants, toddlers, and young children.

RECALL the relationship among children’s temperaments, conflict, and educational growth.

A minimum score of 70 is required to pass a test or graded assignment. Successful completion of all content, test and/or written assignments, and surveys is required to earn CEUs.
